Hi! My name is Richill. Thank you for taking the time to view my page.
I am a UX/UI Designer & a Full-stack Web Developer with a background in Investment & Private banking (Graduated in Finance & Investment and Business Finance in the UK, having both a BA & MA degree). I have a great passion for Painting & Music (i play the violin) and Love Coding! living & Breathing it!
As a UX/UI Designer, i have over three years experience conceptualizing, crafting digital products & helping businesses expand their capacity for impact. As a Full-stack developer, i have over five years experience coverting UX/UI designs into code.
I create innovative and unique work that encompasses UI/UX Design, Product Design, Illustration and Code Development.
My philosophy:
  • Nothing created was ever achieved without enthusiasm
    when tasked with a challenge i go deep into the problem so i can understand the core problem i am trying to resolve. Knowing this helps me make informed decisions and builds enthusiasm for creating the best experience.
  • Clear experiences unpredictability
    as a designer, my goal is not to eliminate complexity or friction, but rather create a clear, intuitive and understandable product experience. At times, this may mean adding thoughtful complexity.
  • Constantly challenging my own assumption
    it is easy to become over confident in my ideas and opinions. Rigorous iteration and testing helps bring clarity and confidence to my work.
How i work:
  • stakeholders
    Interviewing stakeholders. Undersatnding the company/business objectives and needs.
    research
    Understanding more about the problem space, considering potential solutions and learning more about the customer.
    principles
    Crafting design principles to help guide project and experience decisions, and to ensure alignment amongst the team.
  • user journey
    Diving deep into the user journey and exploring user stories, user personas, channels and user decisions making.
    Design exploration
    diverging wide and exploring the range of possible solutions. Testing, iterating, discussing and working through the problem.
    Design refinement
    Refining a chosen direction and polishing the visual design, preparing designs for engineering, hand-off and documenting descions made.
  • Handoff
    Working closely with engineering and product to ensure a successful handoff and implementation process.
    Monitoring
    Just because a project is live doesn’t mean that the work is done. I therefore monitor the project's performance in order to investigate & discover ideas for improvements.

What I'm curious about:
I am a bit of a process nerd. I love learning new ways of doing things and introduce them to the projects i'm working on or the companies i work for. I am a big proponent on the Design Sprint and lean UX methodologies.
I like to create products and discover new processes to improve my team's work. I never miss a chance to evangelize UX and I always try to be involved in the decision making discussions.
In my free time i like to build pet projects, paint, play the violin and hang-out with friends and colleagues.
My hobbies:
I am a dynamic individual, I am based in London. I've got an eye for detail and a real passion for working with businesses. I pride myself on honesty and openness with every project that I work on and with every company i work with.
