SeenOnWhere (SOW) is a platform that compares high brand prices to highstreet prices, offering its customers the best bargains and helping them get more from your money. The company wanted to have an online presence to reach a greater audience in order to increase their level of traffic to gain sales via blogging, social media sharing and affiliation.
The brief was to create and develop an interactive sample prototype design for our client to be able to create listing of their products by adding pictures, a description, a price, and some advice regarding the product, and to design a simple rating & messaging service where their viewers can engage in discussion and ask questions regarding the product.

Final design ready for development
Display of the product's designs. After presenting the design explorations, this was now transformed to code to bring the designs to live in order for the client to understand and visualise the design intent in an interactive manner. The aim was to create a clear and frictionless journey, and in doing so to improve brand perception while maintaining and supporting an increase in conversion & traffic.

Project summary

There are many benefits of having an online dummy front-end prototype design. The prototyping designs definitely helped “SeenOnWhere” eliminate misunderstandings and miscommunications when it came to what they intended to communicate to their developers (the development process). The prototyping improved the quality of requirements and specifications provided to the client. Our client now had, not only a business plan, but an interactive design that they were able to present to investors as well as their developers.

    Insufficient Analysis/ Incomplete Specification
As a startup there was a focus on a limited prototype, due to incomplete specification, which distracted the design process. Even still we were able to effectively look into better solutions to sufficiently engineer and developed a final front-end prototype design.

If There Was More Time & Budget Available…
Development of further user personas and Journey Maps would have been created. Additional research service could have been provided for the client as the business idea is quite complex and extensive (for example, technical and social challenges).

    More Substantive Visual Design

Due to urgency of the site to be developed fairly quickly, there was less time given to focus on the business brand presence. Should there have been a provision of a solid defined visual language of the brand attributes, the design development of the site could have been more advanced in visual appearance.
